Presented by Gildor Roy, the documentary series Les grands défis recounts the extraordinary evolution of modern Québec by way of three great technological and human adventures: forestry operations, emergency transport, and electrification.
The series leads us to an understanding, through pictures and testimonies, of how lumberjacks moved from the good old axe to the multifunctional tree harvester. We also assess the historical impact of electrification on Québec’s towns, villages and factories. Finally, the series makes us witnesses to the incredible technological metamorphosis that has altered forever the face of emergency transport in Québec.
