MASTODONTES

The MASTODONTES documentary series takes viewers to the north of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean into the daily life of a group of truckers specializing in forest transport. Through a window on the day-to-day lives of these men, the series explores the fascinating, exhausting and often dangerous world of the forest transport professional.

Winter and summer, through fair weather and foul, these men drive ten hours a day at high speeds on steep inclines in oversized rigs loaded to bursting–all part of a job that is not only stressful but downright dangerous. When they’re not behind the wheels of their tractor-trailers hauling logs, these marathon truckers spend their time off between the mechanic’s, the bank, and home…that is, when they have any time off.
