Winter 1927. It’s Felix’s last year at his small village school, and with his family, before going off to boarding school in the fall. Nothing is certain but as Felix waits for news, he spends one last carefree summer with his family of 10 brothers and sisters. The 12-year-old also strikes up a close friendship with Fidor, a poor boy from a farm on the outskirts of the village. Together, they come to learn that childhood is finite, and adulthood is not far behind.
